Jack’s (@FishFeetArt) art primarily consists of short comics and conceptual illustrations. He is passionate about storytelling and his work revolves around his own long-term sequential art projects.

Inspired by international artists and writers, Jack has a profound passion for story and sequential art, whether it’s comics, manga, webtoons or storyboarding. He has a slew of full sketchbooks dating back to when he was old enough to hold a pencil, each containing short comics, characters, and outlandish ideas for stories. He now has dozens of documents with story outlines and even more sketchbooks with character designs, concepts, and pages planned out.

With the rise of vertical scrolling comics, Jack wants to find a way to embrace the rich history of traditional sequential art while embracing the modern age of comics. He drafts comics traditionally with blue pencil and ink before scanning it to continue working digitally. The simplicity of limited and non-representational color comics is inspiring to him and something he continues to explore in his work.

In high school, he was introduced to Python and made five simple games and dozens of animated sprites that are unfortunately lost to the internet forever. Inspired by games with rich stories and pixelated graphics, such as Stardew Valley and Undertale, he plans to continue this side project and is working on a 16-bit game of his own.

Jack graduated from the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in 2025 with a BFA in Illustration with a concentration on Sequential Art. As Jack prepares to move abroad he continues to focus on his creative practice and prepare his work for publishing.
